Since 1958 Anderson Fence Company Inc. has been building fences. Experience & pride helps Anderson Fence Company stand out. We are locally-owned. Delmarva is our home.
We build quality fences that last. We believe in old-fashioned values such as hard-work, quality workmanship, and standing behind our work. We do not use outside sub-contractors to install your fence. Our fence technicians are highly trained craftsmen.
Whether you need a fence for your home, your business, or a job site, Anderson Fence Company has you covered. We install a wide range of residential and commercial fencing solutions across the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Sussex County in Delaware, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia. From vinyl privacy fences to automated gate systems, every project is handled by our own team of skilled fence technicians — never subcontractors.
We take the time to understand your needs, walk your property, and recommend the right fence for the job. That is how we have done business since 1958, and it is how we will continue to do business for years to come.
A job is never complete until you are 100% satisfied. We gladly stand behind all of our work and products.
Vinyl fencing is one of the most popular choices for homeowners across Delmarva, and for good reason. It is relatively maintenance free and will last much longer than a traditional cedar fence. You will never have to worry about painting, staining, or replacing rotted boards. About the only maintenance you should plan on is pressure washing your fence after it collects dirt and dust. The day a vinyl fence is installed, all traditional maintenance halts — no chipping, cracking, rotting, or peeling.
We install vinyl fences in a variety of styles, including solid privacy, semi-privacy, pool and yard, contemporary picket, classic picket, lattice, and ranch rail. Each vinyl fence we install is backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty from our fabricators.
When it comes to strength and value, nothing beats a chain link fence. A residential chain link fence creates a safe and secure environment at home, offering security for your children and pets. We offer residential chain link fencing in a variety of heights, with different gate sizes and the option of being vinyl-coated for a more finished look. Commercial chain link is extremely popular for schools, ballfields, and commercial and industrial sites.
No other fence product provides the affordability with the security of chain link. Available from 3 feet high to 30 feet high, commercial chain link includes different gate sizes, cantilever gates, barrier arms gates, and automated gates. Chain link can also be galvanized or have plastic slats inserted for added privacy.
Ornamental aluminum and steel fencing offers a maintenance-free alternative to other fence systems. The popular aluminum fence offers the beauty of a traditional wrought iron fence without the worry of rust. Aluminum fencing is a popular choice as a yard or pool fence and comes with our manufacturer’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
The steel ornamental fence offers the same styles as aluminum, and since steel is a stronger metal, it tends to be a more popular choice for commercial applications. Either way, you get a fence that looks great and stands up to the test of time.
Wood fencing is a popular choice for those looking for a natural look and feel. It blends in beautifully with the surrounding environment and can be stained or painted to enhance the coloring and extend the life of the fence. A wood fence is strong and is easily repaired if needed. We install wood fences in a variety of styles, including picket, privacy, semi-privacy, estate, and split-rail.
At Anderson Fence, we use a higher quality D-grade board for our fences — defined by its minimal tiny knots and no bark — rather than the appearance-grade boards many other fence companies use. All of our wood is pressure-treated, and this higher quality board distinguishes our wood fences from the competition.
Anderson Fence Company rents and installs temporary chain link fencing for construction sites. We offer both temporary chain link fence panels (12 feet wide by 6 feet high) with metal stands, as well as post-driven temporary fence for extended projects. The temporary fence panels are rented on a month-to-month basis to meet your project needs. There is no digging required, and a team of two can construct the fence in a matter of minutes.
Complete with stands and a gate, these fences are made out of regular chain link fencing material, require no maintenance, and are re-usable. Local builders choose Anderson Fence for their construction fencing needs because we fulfill orders quickly, no matter how big or how small a project.
We have extensive experience installing fencing for courts and ballfields and will work with your court companies or field people to meet your needs. Our most popular installations include pickleball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball and softball fields, and batting cages. Whether you need fencing for a single court or a full athletic facility, our team has the experience to get the job done right.
We custom build wood, vinyl, and chain link enclosures to suit your needs and property dimensions. Enclosures can be installed with or without a concrete pad, and the pad can be designed and poured to match existing concrete styles. All enclosures can be altered for other uses specific to your needs, such as pool equipment, A/C units, yard divisions, full size fences, or any other purpose you have in mind.
Our chain link kennels are custom built to suit your needs using only the highest quality materials. If you need a safe, secure space for your pets, Anderson Fence Company can design and build a kennel tailored to your property. Contact us for a free estimate and we will help you determine the right kennel setup for your situation.
We install steel bollards to protect what needs protecting. Typically these bollards are filled with concrete for added strength and can also have a bollard cover to add visibility to their position. If you need bollards installed on your property, contact Anderson Fence Company for a free estimate.
We have a wide variety of gate styles available in wood, chain link, vinyl, and ornamental aluminum or steel. Whether you require double drive, walk-through, or a sliding gate, we can customize any gate to suit your needs and enhance your property. For added peace of mind, automated swing and slide gates provide controlled accessibility while increasing your security.
Choose from our hydraulic swing gate operators or keypad entry systems. We also offer Telephone Entry and Access Control Systems, as well as Radio Control products such as transmitters and other devices which automatically detect vehicles. Dedicated access control experts will install your gate operating system for both commercial and residential applications.
At Anderson Fence Company, we understand that your home is your sanctuary, and the right fence can enhance its security, privacy, and charm.
We specialize in custom wood fences that bring natural warmth to any property, vinyl fences that offer low-maintenance elegance, and aluminum fences that deliver sleek design and lasting durability. For practical and cost-effective solutions, our chain link fences provide reliable security without compromising functionality.
Each residential fence is carefully designed and expertly installed to fit your property’s style and purpose. Whether you envision a private backyard retreat, a classic picket fence, or a secure boundary for your family, our team is dedicated to bringing your vision to life with precision and care.
The cost of a new fence depends on several factors, including the type of material, the total length and height of the fence, and the layout of your property. Every property is different, and that is why we provide free estimates with no pressure sales tactics.
We schedule a visit to your home at a time convenient for you to discuss fence options and take measurements of your property. Then we email you a formal proposal for you to review quietly and privately at your leisure.

Yes. A new fence is a significant investment, and knowing your property lines before installation is very important. We install your fence based on the boundaries you provide, so it is your responsibility to confirm where your property lines are. If you do not know, a surveyor can usually locate your property corners for a reasonable fee.
We always send in a Miss Utility ticket to locate any public utilities on your property, but it is the homeowner’s responsibility to identify private utilities such as propane gas lines, septic fields, well water and irrigation lines, invisible fences, and private electric lines before we arrive to install the fence.
A chain link fence with black or green vinyl fabric and a black frame is generally considered the best solution that will least obstruct your view while keeping your pets safely contained. We also specialize in custom-built chain link kennels using only the highest quality materials.
If you are not sure which option is right for your property and your pets, our team will visit your home and help you decide which type of fence serves your needs best.
Anderson Fence Company provides a one-year workmanship warranty on every fence we install. Your fence posts should never settle or lean — in the unlikely event that happens, we will rectify it for you. Most of our vendors also provide a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the materials we install, which is typical for chain link, vinyl, and aluminum fences.
Because wood is an organic material, its longevity is impacted by conditions in your yard such as standing water and insects. All of the wood we install is pressure-treated, but wood does not carry the same limited lifetime warranty as vinyl and metal products. A key exception to all warranties are Acts of Nature (storms) and damage inflicted by others.
